Statement On The Results Of The 2025 House Elections

September 25, 2025 - The 2025 House Elections saw Republicans take control of the House, with a 260 - 249 majority, Republicans will take control of the Speaker's chair as well as the Majority leadership offices across the House. The election serves as  reminder to all of us here in the House of the will of the people.

House Speaker Nolan Burmaster is planning to meet with Minority leadership later this week in preparation to hand power over to the Republican party on November 10. Members of the House have expressed excitement and some have expressed great concern with Republicans taking power. 

The election results will be formally certified by the Senate early next month before the November 10 swearing of both reelected Representatives as well as Representative-Elects. That will be livestreamed as well as televised starting at 9 PM on November 10, 2025.
