84th Congress: The House Is Not In Session
March 31, 2025 , 2:15 AM
RUFUS - Today we all learned of the passing of House Speaker Matthew Carrington who had only served as the Speaker Of The House since January. But his career extends far beyond that, including his tenure, Representing the people of New Shire's 28th and 37th Districts, a role he highly regarded as the honor of his life. While his life was short, he shared the similar interest in making Jesstopia one of the freest, safest and fairest countries that any person could live in. He shared in non-partisan view points, and shared joy in spending times with family and friends. His death comes as a shock to all of us and we, more than ever, must come together, as Nationalists and Republicans, but more importantly as people to honor the long life of public service he was a part of. We can't express our condolences and sympathies to his family enough, and we are honored to be able to have been led by an extraordinary statements, friend, brother, son and father.
Our hearts are heavy today, and we should continue to govern in the only way he knew how, fairly and bi-partisanly. We owe it to his life long dedication to public service, and we owe it to the people of this great country to lead like he did. On behalf of all members of Congress and the House Of The People, we wish Speaker Carrington a strong and safe journey home to his lord and savior and hope to live up to the character, and leader he was everyday.
Signed,
Leadership and Representatives Of The House Republican and Nationalist conference
